With the ice bucket challenge behind us, we are looking to get people in the low country once again talking about ALS. Pozify, along with the Charleston Sports and Social Club, has organized an incredible event to raise awareness and get the community moving and involved!
What: Kickball Tournament & Silent Auction to raise money for ALS!
When: June 25, 2016, 8:30AM-5:30PM
Where: The Elks Lodge in West Ashley
Cost: $35 per player, $350 per team of 10. *includes t-shirt, Chick-fil-a breakfast and pizza dinner
*Participants must be 18 yrs. or older to play.
*BYOB - Alcohol is permitted!
*No pets please
We will have corn hole, ladder ball, and other activities set up for people of all ages to play during down-time between games.
Food and beverages will be provided for all participants, and food will be available for purchase from Pacha Mama, Grill Kings and Kona Ice throughout the day. A portion of the proceeds from food sales will also be donated to the ALS Association.
Alcohol is permitted. BYOB. Coolers and folding chairs are encouraged as well. We love our furry friends, but our venue is unfortunately not pet friendly, so no dogs please!
In the spirit of the Ice Bucket Challenge, the winners of each game will have the opportunity to pour buckets of ice on the losing team!
The goal is to raise $25,000, and all proceeds will go directly to support the South Carolina Chapter of the ALS Association. We encourage both individuals and teams to independently fundraise as well.
… Now for the good stuff - the incentives.
-The individual (player or not) who raises the highest amount of money prior to the event date will win an ALL EXPENSE PAID, 4 NIGHT, 5 DAY DESTINATION VACATION! (Vacation destination choices coming soon - does not include airfare.)
- The participating TEAM that raises the most amount of money prior to the event date will win $500 WORTH OF PRIZES.
If that’s not decent motivation to raise money for an incredible cause then what is?!
The last day for participant registration is Thursday, June 23, 2016, and silent auction commitments are due by 6/20/2016.

*If you are unable to personally participate in the tournament but would still love to donate to our cause, donations are also accepted via our online portal with the SC ALS Association. A tax receipt will be immediately provided.
South Carolina Federal Adopt-a-Dog and Food Truck Rodeo
South Carolina Federal Credit Union is going to the dogs! We are pleased to team up with Doc Williams SPCA and the Charleston Animal Society to find homes for dogs in need within our communities.
This free event will be held on Saturday, April 30th, at the South Carolina Federal headquarters, 6265 Rivers Avenue, from 9a.m. -1p.m. The event will also feature a food truck rodeo with Dashi, Food Box, Mudd Pie Girl, The Farmer’s Wife and Pancha Mama on site serving up their finest, with 15% of proceeds going back to our participating animal groups. There will be fun for all ages, with kids able to enjoy RoyBoy’s inflatable jump house.
Dogs on site will each be available for adoption through their respective agencies. All South Carolina Federal financial centers are collecting food, toys and wish list items for shelter animals until the end of the month. Collection bins will also be on site at the April 30th event.
